The space was previously occupied by Vacuum Village for the last 38 years. Jay Morris of O,R&L Commercial represented the landlord, Newington Retail Associates, LLC, and Joe Sullo of SM Real Estate Advisors represented the tenant, Bora Bora. 

Bora Bora Smoothie Café, the international dessert and beverage brand known for its tropical aesthetic and indulgent creations, is excited to announce its newest location in Newington, Connecticut. Originating overseas and now rapidly expanding across the United States, Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe has gained a loyal following for its signature smoothies, fruit bowls, crepes, croffles, coffee, and milkshakes, blending vibrant flavors with a modern island-inspired atmosphere. With existing U.S. locations in states such as New York, Florida, Illinois, and Michigan, the Newington opening marks the second location in Connecticut and is the latest step of their northeast expansion. Bora Bora plans to completely renovate the space and expect to open in March 2026.
